ESSAY COMPETITION $2,000 SCHOLARSHIP 2025
At the Law Offices of Jorge L. Flores, P.A., we have dedicated our practice to fighting for victims of negligence and securing meaningful results for families in need. To support the next generation of legal advocates, we are proud to offer an annual $2,000 scholarship through an essay competition focused on personal injury law.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
- Award: $2,000 scholarship
- Eligibility: Open to U.S. undergraduate students planning to attend law school and current graduate/law students.
- Submission Format: Essays must be submitted in .pdf format.
- Submission Deadline: December 31, 2025
- Winner Announcement: January 31, 2026 (announced on our website)

QUALIFICATIONS
- Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. undergraduate or graduate program.
- Each submission must include the applicant’s name, address, phone number, current major, and college.
- All essays must be original and properly cited. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.
2025 ESSAY TOPIC
To what extent should bars be liable for accidents caused by someone they served alcohol to?
Maximum Length: 1,500 words
Suggested Questions to Guide Your Essay:
- What should be the minimum time after serving alcohol before a bar ceases to be liable for an accident caused by a customer?
- Should liability fall more on the driver’s car insurance or the bar’s liability insurance?
- Would a shift in liability change how personal injury attorneys handle settlement negotiations?
